Artist Talk with Kevin Sloan
Please join artist Kevin Sloan for an in-depth talk about his work on view in the exhibition A Collection of Rarities. Learn more about “allegorical realism” – a type of storytelling that Sloan employs to engage the viewer to look closely at surreal situations. Though the subject matter sparks immediate recognition the meaning of the works linger in the observer’s mind. Sloan’s work is a delight to experience and listening to him speak about his process, his reverence for the natural world and his love of poetry is a treat for all ages.
