California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks proudly presents NeuroDrumming-Yoga for the Brain, 7-week series. NeuroDrumming's unique classes focus on musical training and brain fitness strategies, coupled with a creative and progressive approach to the artful use of afro-rock music. Learn how to improve memory, boost brain power, and fuel your own happiness! If you’re new to NeuroDrumming, you’ll immediately know you’ve found something special.  Here’s your chance to have extraordinary improve your health while having F-U-N!


Beginner- LEVEL 1

New to NeuroDrumming? Looking to review the basics and deepen your practice? This is the class for you! Level 1 is an excellent class for those new to NeuroDrumming and those that are looking to re-examine their technique. In this class, we will introduce fundamentals, breath work, Rhythmic Mantras, World-beat and Afro-Rock grooves. Learn proper rudiments for your hands, build a strong foundation and further your drumming practice in a safe, grounded and supportive space. Find the center, rediscover positivity and embrace the drummer’s path.

No musical experience necessary. All instruments provided. If you have heartbeat you have rhythm. Class are 1 hr. per week | 7 weeks | $129

Pamela Lynn-Seraphine is a world percussionist, author, brain fitness coach and creator of NeuroDrumming- Yoga For The Brain. She is a visionary pioneer in the field of rhythmic brain training for healthy aging. Her twenty plus years’ experience in world drumming and studies in psychology and neuroscience led her to integrate her teachings with scientific findings into multi-sensory brain fitness programs.

Pamela earned a B.A. & M.S. in Psychology (Magna cum laude) with a concentration in Sports Psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. She is a Certified Brain Fitness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and active board member of the Percussive Arts Society’s Scholarly Research Committee. Pamela is the author of The Drummer’s Manifesto: Empowering Your Musical Brain for Optimal Health and is dedicated to bringing the art and science of drumming to the forefront of healthy aging interventions.
