Want to improve your mindfulness? Make a mandala at CMATO!
The mandala is a universal symbol that translates to “the center and its surroundings.” Drawing and coloring mandalas are a popular way of expressing creativity and can help focus attention, relieve stress and promote mindfulness.
CMATO will present a series of mandala-making workshops with our friends at the Santa Paula Art Museum beginning Saturday, July 27. Led by art therapist and yoga instructor, Lynne Okun, “Mandala Mindfulness” will guide participants in the ancient practice of intricate pattern-making to deepen connections to their surroundings and inner self. Through creation of their own mandala, participants will experience contemplation, stress-relief and personal empowerment.
